Has this been the best winter, or what? Every day, we look to see the temperature and wind chill in Cheyenne and laugh with delight that we are here. I mean, I've worn my winter coat about 5 times this winter so far, Paul and his friend just came from playing outside in the sandbox. I don't even care that it is apparently an unusually warm winter. I'll take what I can get.

I've been blessed with the chance to work with the Holy Land Franciscan Monastery in Washington D.C. as part of my job with the Cathedral Foundation. The group's web site is www.myfranciscan.org so you can go check it out. It is a great monastery. About 800 years ago, the Holy Father gave the Franciscans "custody" of the religious sites in the Holy Land, and this group continues to work in the Holy Land. The monastery was built in DC in imitation of the sites in Jerusalem so people can go on a pilgrimage here in the US. What a marvelous opportunity for me.
