Things I learned the last three days -
I really don't want to go back to Wyoming; I'm starting to think of Baltimore as 'home' and becoming more comfortable with the oddities here, such as cab drivers that don't speak English.
There. All this enlightenment is the result of a trip to Casper Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The trip out was a total nightmare - not necessarily anyone's fault. We were stalled on the tarmac in Baltimore for 3 hours due to snow (which pretty much grinds the city to a halt.) So, we missed the connecting flight in Denver. The customer service line was 5 hours and the drive to Casper is about 4 hours, so we decided to drive. At 11 p.m. local time (think 1 a.m. Baltimore time) we were in the line for a rental car - the man said they had no more cars and a middle-aged couple standing there said they were going to Casper and we could ride with them. Go figure. Thank you, Guardian Angel! They had been on vacation in Florida and United lost their luggage, so there they were in summer clothes in the snow, but they were really kind. We finally had a car an hour later and we hit the road. I had eaten one of the "snack packs" on the plane, but no one else had eaten, so near Johnson's Corner, we stopped at a taco place and ate tacos from an all-night drive up. We finally made it to Casper about 5 a.m. local time. Fortunately, the first meeting wasn't until 9:30 a.m., so we were able to sleep for a bit. The trip was useful for the business. But it was also useful because I realized again how much I hate the wind and the barrenness and the cold. I was glad to see people I know - but even a bright blue sky wasn't enough to make me want to return. If there's anyone from Wyoming reading this blog - it isn't anything personal. :)

Today was windy and cold here! Brrr! Temperatures only got into the 20's but the wind cuts right through you. I am glad we don't live by the water now. Misty was talking about how cold it gets in Red Bank with the winds off the water.
I am glad to hear you are happy in Baltimore. Or should I say, "Ballmore."
That sounds like a long and tiring trip to Wyoming.
