OK, here goes the update on the question of whether or not I have glaucoma. The answer is that we don't have an answer. Thanks, huh? After running test after test on my eyes - scans and little suction cup things on the cornea (thankfully, they numbed my eyes ahead of time) and testing the pressure lying down and standing up ... there's still one more test to do. Something to do with field of vision - which I thought had been tested and was limited in my left eye. But they have tons of expertise here and I'll just be patient and wait. If I have glaucoma or a large potential to develop it, they can treat it with eye drops. Great, my favorite thing. Of course, going blind would be no cake walk, either. Apparently, my main risk factor for this is extreme myopia, which I translate as "blind as a bat." I'll know more by the end of March.

Poor Paul has to have new glasses, too. Apparently, blind as a bat is hereditary. I guess he's inherited a desire to write, too, as he's working on a novel, believe it or not. He started with a hand-written effort, but switched to the computer, where he's composing as he types. My goodness, I didn't start that until I was in college. Ironically, I didn't take typing because that was just for secretaries and I didn't want to be a mere secretary. Now, I spend half my time typing. But, I'm not a secretary :) at least one dream came true.

Snowing to beat the band here - big, wet snow flakes - this time, we're shoveling once an hour to keep ahead of it.

Please keep us updated on the whole glaucoma thing. I'm glad they can treat it early though!
