So, yesterday I had another "the Lord is good to me" moment. My first trip to the Holy Land Monastery by myself - I managed to not only find the monastery on my own :) but discovered that it is only about 5 minutes from the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. This is the basilica that I made sure to visit when I was in DC 3 years ago for the annual Catholic Press Association convention - because I thought it might be my only chance to be in DC and I wasn't leaving without seeing the basilica. And, everyone at the monastery was so kind - directing me around this huge place that is such a maze. I'm so looking forward to the summer and going down for the garden tours! I'll see about posting some photos.
