Now, I remember all my thoughts I wanted to add.

It was most interesting at the baby shower - in my mind, I know I'm the mother of a woman who is 30, and so are her friends, but in reality, I feel like I'm only 30, and these women could be my peers. It is disconcerting. This week, I was at the home of our tax accountant, a man who is 40 and his wife, also about 40, and their 4 children. The baby fussed and they let me hold the little baby while she made dinner for the toddlers and I felt like a grandparent. I know I am one, but It is mind-boggling to realize I'm older than middle-aged people. I guess age is a matter of attitude, but certainly I can't be nearly 50. How is that possible?

Seth has changed so much since I was there at Christmas. In addition to walking all the time, he's eating what Ellen gives him. Although he's not talking much - I think he says 'bye-bye' - he certainly gets his point across and he clearly understands simple instructions. He simply could not be cuter.

Simon goes into the pediatric neurosurgeon for a consult on Tuesday. Please say a prayer that he is fully healed of the trouble with his spine, as the scoliosis seems lots worse now than in December.

He is in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. I am certain he will be fine and will come through this just as strong and amazing as ever.
