PrincetonSo, I finally figured out how to steal photos from Ellen's blog. We went to Princeton yesterday, ate lunch and wandered around. It was so much fun - even the kids were impressed by the age and beauty of the college. We stopped at the Episcopal parish on campus - a beautiful, but a bit dark, Gothic structure that has lovely, deep blue stained glass windows in the older style. Simon, Paul and Hannah went inside with me - Simon was so quiet and good, I was really proud of him. Hannah wanted to read all the memorials on the wall, on the pews ... if I'd let her, we'd still be there.
I'm so blessed to have a family that considers a trip around the campus of Princeton to be an enjoyable outing!
Today, one of the people at the office told me the campus of a southern university - Duke? - was made deliberately to mimic Princeton, only each building is a foot taller. Hah - take that, we can have a good university, too. And a taller one. Go figure.
