Pining away

One of my major goals when we moved back east was to go to the March for Life in DC. Have I made it? No, of course not. Last year, we had to be in Wyoming for a consultation with the Register; this year, I was buried under a 48 page newspaper at work. Buried. I swear next year I will plan ahead - I will reserve a hotel room months in advance and go. I mean, I even know where all the stuff is in DC now. I will go.

Nothing much else that can be blogged, given I have no idea who is reading the blog.

Worked on Martin Luther King Day (note aforementioned 48 page newspaper.) They had a day of service in the office and I took Paul along for the morning. It took a rather strong suggestion on my part, but I managed to get him to go and help assemble hygiene packs for a local homeless shelter. I used to do stuff like this all the time - even ran the Interfaith Hospitality Network for my parish in Cheyenne, but I haven't lately, what with all the moving around. But I want to start on volunteer work again, perhaps after we settle in a bit. And, we are settleing in - today, Frank went to Home Depot and Sam's Club and said he had no problems finding them, shopping, etc. It is such a relief to not have to work out where stuff is anymore.
