I can't believe its been more than a week and I haven't done much worth posting. What a life :) Paul received his high blue belt tonight in martial arts. It is the last one he'll get just for attending a certain number of classes. He'll have to test for the next belt. Of course, I forgot my camera, but he really doesn't like his photo being taken anyhow. Paul's upstairs now, not happy about doing his homework. Oh well. But he seems more positive about school this year.

I can't believe something else - today was the one year anniversary of my becoming editor of The Monitor. This time, last year, I was staying at Ellen's and commuting back to Baltimore on the weekends, looking for a house to rent, and getting ready to move. What an incrediably stressful time that was. I really do like it much better here than in Baltimore, particularly since that job was so horrible and this one is fine.

Speaking of the job, the staff surprised me with a breakfast of bagels and fruit this morning. Isn't that wonderful? The reporters had joked about taking me to McDonald's for lunch and I had no idea they were up to anything. Things are finally settling down. I hope everything stays on an even keel; we need some peace.
