We're brightening winter by forcing bulbs indoors, with Narcissus and Amaryllis on the new table I bought to replace the one I had to leave behind in Baltimore when we moved here. I really missed being able to sit and eat dinner with Paul and not eat off our laps or TV trays. Plus, I can sit at the table and see the birds. It's very enjoyable. The table doesn't match the china cabinet in the perfect way the other one did, but the colors are the same and if I ever again live in a home with a dining room, it will be OK. I'm ready for spring now - winter is OK before Christmas with Christmas carols and Christmas lights and all, but now, it's just cold and dark.
