Ellen asked how the lecture went. I achieved my goal, which was to convince Paul he was capable of college-level work, so it was a smashing success. It was actually very interesting in terms of brain development and how anthropologists study the same. I know, sort of a specialized interest. We also found the location of the state museum and I plan to go back down on one of my day's off. Since my other vacation plans fell through, now Paul and I have to figure out other plans. There's a flower show this weekend, and what 12-year-old boy doesn't want to go to a flower show? But there's also the NY Botanic Gardens, which is hosting an orchid show, and I do think I can talk him into that. We've already said we want to go into the City (that would be NY City) ... back to the museum. I'd REALLY like to go back to the Smithsonian in DC, but it is more of an overnight trip. Hmmm, Sister Sharon invited me to come and stay with her some time in DC, I wonder if she would accommodate a small boy, also?
