Found one of the missing chickens!

So, I go over to the shed where the chicken feed is kept, and low and behold, there's a hen with five little chicks, just hatched! Paul and I gathered up the chicks and took them to the scratch pen, where we have a small area where we had intended to keep the roosters, but I never used it. So, now, the chicks are there with food, water and shade and their mommy. I hope I have it set up so that the cats can't get to them during the night.

I still don't know where she was nesting. Someone told me at hens were good at hiding nests. I guess so!
