Stole an image of the grandkids from Ellen's blog. Aren't they adorable? (That is a rhetorical question, all grandchildren are adorable.) I'm so looking forward to seeing them over Christmas on the farm. They think it will be as fun in the winter as it was in the summer, but that will be a stretch. They can collect eggs, etc., feed cows and then we'll have to go for walks. I'm hoping we can see the flock of wild turkeys, scare up a deer or two. We'll have to head to town, I'm sure. I had thought I'd be able to go up to Red Cloud to the Willa Cather Museum, but wasn't able to go - maybe they'd be up for a road trip, if we could all fit it in the same car. We'll just have to play it by ear. I do know we'll be having a Christmas dinner on the 27th, following the wedding.

The semester is over, I have to turn in one paper tomorrow and I'm done. Overall, it has been a good semester, although I had a difficult and frustrating course, but I survived. Have to wait until Dec. 23 to see the grades when they are posted to see how much I enjoyed this semester :)

Next semester, I have two courses - one from Professor Donnelly, my favorite professor. The course is called "Renaissance Self-Fashioning" - the other course is one from a new professor who seems like a great fellow, and it is on Writing a Novel. The only downside there is it is a night course, but I guess you pretty much have to take the courses when they are offered.

In the meantime, I have some time off, and after the wedding, I'll be relaxing and reading the books I really want to read, and maybe some for my Master's Project, but it will still be enjoyable, as I'm reading contemporary western novels.

We are looking forward to seeing you too. And yes, they are adorable! I'd like to get a picture of Simon where he isn't making a crazy face though.

I am looking forward to reading for pleasure again. Even if it's just for a little while before classes start again.
