Here's proof that I sing in the choir ... They choir has adopted me and been very kind to me. I remember one time a woman in Cheyenne, who was a cantor in church, told me that "in our dotage, we'd sing in the choir." I'm not sure what that says about me now....

Maybe your daughter has kept you up to date on the goings on in your former diocese, but the Asbury Park Press ran a story on Ash Wednesday about a church in Eatontown - my former parish about ten years ago! - which offered ashes in a drive-thru arrangement:

There were also Letters to the Editor, mostly opposed.
My opinion is the action, while convenient, takes it out of the corporate context. I mean, as Catholics, worship is primarily a corporate activity.
