This is a "good for Paul" notice. He now has a farm permit. This entailed passing the written exam and a driving test this morning. There wasn't any school today, so we went in when the driver's bureau opened at 7 a.m., and we were able to get out efficiently and I even made it to work on time at 9 a.m.! One of his friends failed the written test, but later admitted he didn't study. Paul studied and missed 4 - you're allowed to miss 5. Now, he can take himself to and from school and on "farm errands." He's not allowed to have non-siblings in the car, which is a good idea.

Otherwise, all is going well. Spring is teasing us, but today I noticed that the poppies are beginning to come up! AND, the garden shop has pansies. I think I'll wait a week or two on the pansies, but I'm very excited about spring!

I'm having trouble with my shoulders, so I've had to go to a backpack. It arrived today. Of course, I feel silly. I'll try it out tomorrow. I hope I can manage it over my winter coats. This getting old is a drag - but the alternative is pretty grim.
