Ahh, it's spring time again!
Big Daddy RoosterRemember the little chicks from last year? We'll, they're not so little any more. This rooster is going to the county fair for sure!
I've ordered pullets from McMurray Hatchery, which specializes in saving various chicken breeds that aren't used as much anymore. I'm very interested to see what we get the first week of April, as I've asked for their "layer special" and I'll get 5 of 8 breeds, depending on what is available when they ship.
Ah, the joys of spring - we planted potatoes, lettuce and onion sets - radishes to follow in a couple weeks. This has been an easy winter - one has to have the Wyoming perspective to think so - but I'm ready for spring!

Things are starting to bloom around here. Slow, but steady.
Those little chickens aren't so little anymore! The son is beautiful. Hopefully he'll win some ribbons.
