This is the blacksmith shop where my grandfather worked when he was a teenage boy.
And this is the house where my great-great grandmother and grandfather lived - David and Hattie McClure. We had an absolutely marvelous trip with my Uncle Earl Stonebraker to Ellsworth and Westfall today. I'm going to post several items, but started with Westfall. There's not much left in Westfall, but I enjoyed listening to Uncle Earl talk about visiting his grandparents (both sets) and playing in the former stockyards after supper. The current owner of the home told us he's considering tearing it down, so we got there just in time. There's nothing left of the Stonebraker and McClure farms, and the original home site for Fenton and Laura Stonebraker in Westfall is now where the community center sits.
