Ah, rain
Ah, rain, glorious rain. Haven't been here long enough that rain has ceased to be a novelty. The folks at the office make fun of me, as I go over to the window to enjoy the rain. It can certainly rain here - I tried to sit out under the lawn umbrella, and enjoy the sprinkle, the light sounds of rain on canvas, which reminds me of camping. It worked until the downpour started and I lost my nerve and came inside. Adventure only goes so far, don't ya know.
Where ever you go, there you are
It sounds so simple, but it is so profound. That is: You carry yourself with you. It is, indeed a matter of "mind over matter" as in - if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. I saw a plaque in a military home on a tour of the "bricks" - the officer's quarters in Cheyenne - and it said "bloom where you are planted." What a motto, particularly for a military family!
One of the things I admire most about Ellen is her ability to "bloom where she is planted." I've often commented about how tough she is and Frank said "I'd have her in my foxhole" which is about the biggest compliment a military person can give!
Well, we're determined to bloom. Lately, I've been determined to make lemonaid - and I'm just about to succeed.

I am truly flattered that you think so highly of me. I don't think I'd ever want to be in a fox hole but thanks for the vote of confidence.
Maybe I should make the lemonade and you should do the blooming. Your thumb is a bit greener than mine. :)
I like the rain too. Today however I started to hear whining from the shorties about how the rain NEVER ends.
