Fun at the beach

I tried to upload my photos and there's some sort of error, so I'll just have to tell you about it. I'll report the error and we'll see what happens in the future.

In any event, Ellen and Daniel were so kind to just let me show up on Sunday, with short notice, and we had a great time at the beach on Sunday. Remember, I'm from Wyoming and the whole ocean thing is a mystery ... I planned to just get my feet wet, take a few photos ... but the waves had other things in mind, and I ended up with my skirt soaking wet. Paul particularly enjoyed playing in the waves - the experience of the wave knocking him down, the sand shifting under his feet - he and Hannah in particular, and Simon a little less, seemed to enjoy challenging the waves. Getting wet was worth it - the day was sunny, warm, but not too hot, the water temp was perfect. In short, an outstanding afternoon at the beach. Of course, we came home, covered in sand - sand was even in my little cooler for sodas, which we left in the car!

Needless to say, I'm going back as soon as we can figure out a date.
