Well, well, well
After kind of a tough week, a good day today. Had a little office Christmas party just for the Monitor staff - Ed livened it up with a poem (he turns out to be a multi-talented fellow) - and I heard from an old friend in Cheyenne. He and I worked together at the diocese and it is very heartening to revive a friendship; to realize that it lasts through the distance and the time. I closed the door, which I never do, and chatted, which I don't generally do on company time, but it was a nice break. Staff was sliding proofed pages under the door and finally, I got an e-mail asking if everything was OK. When I emerged, someone joked if I was on a job interview. Certainly not. It's nice to know they care :)
