What me, go outside?

Latest on the little cluckers
After a lot of effort on the part of The Man and Paul, along with help from the FFA "slave" from the fund-raiser "slave" auction, the run for the chickens was finished - predator proof, we hope. Then, the little buggers refused to go outside. They'll willingly go out the human door, however, but I don't want them out because of the dog, who just hates the chickens. Maybe when they are older, they can free-range, but for now, it is out into the run! I fed them outside this evening, and finally a couple of brave souls went out into the great outdoors. I do think the rest will follow eventually.
In any event, I'm having a great deal of fun with them, and working with them so I can handle them. At least three will go to the county fair, and they need to not be over stressed by unaccustomed handling. Besides, it's fun. They make sort of a cooing sound. I know The Man thinks I'm crazy, but I find them relaxing.
