Well, a Happy Thanksgiving to all ... just a little late. Since it was just Mike, Paul and I, I gave the men the choice of what they wanted for Thanksgiving dinner, and they chose fried chicken. Go figure. So, I dug out some of the dead roosters from the freezer and away we went! Accompanied by my Mother's fruit salad (a must for every holiday), scalloped potatoes and green beans, along with a salad, it made a fine meal.

I'm already in the cleaning and arranging frenzy that accompanies the thought of around 100 people here for the wedding in less than a month. People keep asking me if we are registered anywhere. We really don't need anything, so I've been telling them we're registered at Tractor Supply :) Hey, a gift certificate to Tractor Supply wouldn't go to waste!

Yikes! This semester is winding down, thankfully. I can't say it has been an easy semester, but at least there are no finals to take, just papers to finish.

And, best of all, Advent is here. I really enjoy Advent, with its upbeat music in Mass, and the anticipation of Christmas. I start wearing my angel pins - I think the students will think I'm nuts, but what the heck, I'm going to go ahead.

I do believe I see Paul down there, practicing for his driving test. (I'm upstairs in the office.) He's had a lesson with Dale Magnett, his confirmation sponsor, who also used to teach driving at the high school. This is a good sign - he's also studying the book. Mike's been helping him too. Quite frankly, I'm a nervous wreck about it all, so I'm no help. It's odd, because I helped Karl learn to drive and he and Ellen both are excellent drivers. Oh well. Chock it up to old age :)

I made Grandma's Fruit Salad too. The kids asked for it! It is a must have at any holiday meal.

I can't believe Paul is old enough to drive, even if it's just around the farm. I like that I have 5 years before Hannah can drive. It'll give me time to prepare...
