TorontoSpent five days at the Catholic Press Association meeting in Toronto, Canada. I love the association meetings and enjoyed Toronto. I'm not sure it would be a place I'd like to live, but it was OK. The top photo is a shot I took on the way back from our first Mass, which was held at St. Michael Cathedral, the exterior of which is next. The second Mass was at the Basilica of St. Paul, the second shot of the interior. The final photo is of the waterfall gardens in the center of the Sheraton Toronto Centre hotel. What was interesting was an underground series of shops that connected the hotel with other buildings. It was like a rabbit warren of shopping. Enjoyable, but confusing and necessitated, I think, because of the bad winters. While we had a nice time, walking in groups here and there, I'm glad I stayed in the groups, because two of our group were mugged. One evening, we went in the group to the Distillary district. There were lots of people down there and it was a Thursday evening. I guess the city is revitalizing the area. What struck me is that the city looks new, with a few preserved older buildings, but it looks like about 30 years ago, they just tore it down and started over.
I'm always glad to go, but glad to come back. Tomorrow, we go to Paul's martial arts tournament. More photos to come!

You don't mention that the paper won an award. Congratulations. As a long-time reader, I've noticed the difference.
