Here we are in the final week before my classes begin. I'm taking 890 History of the English Language; 661 Creative Writing Fiction; and 660 Readings Whitman/Dickinson. I have all my books, and I'm ready to go. I went to campus today, to apply for some grants and look for a part-time job on campus. I figure that if I'm there already, I might as well work there. I'll keep freelancing.

The cold weather has been miserable, but I knew it was coming and I knew I'd have down time, so I went to the library for some historical fiction, and holed up at home. I've recently discovered another author of historical fiction - Sara Donati. She's not quite as good as Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, but still worth reading. Hey, I'm supposed to be writing and analyzing fiction, right? As of Thursday, my time to read for pleasure is ending, I'd better enjoy it while I can.
