Tractor driving day...
Today was a red letter day for the grandkids. The each got to drive the tractor in the field, with The Man hovering nearby. You can see by the big grins on their faces, how delighted they were with the whole undertaking. Shortly, I'll post photos of them washing pigs, which they did willingly, to my surprise. We ended the day with a trip to the Riley County Fair. Tomorrow they go back to New Jersey, with a trip that included barbeque where we fed around 30 people, and trips to the creek. The Man, thinking clearly as usual, invited a young girl Hannah's age over, and they bonded, which was great. Today Hannah got to go over to her house and see the pigs they raise (including a new set of piglets), and feeding a bucket calf. What fun the kids have had! Collecting two or three eggs each day, and herding the chickens into the coop at night, helping to feed the chickens. It was great to have them here, and we're hoping to have them back next summer, too!
