I don't know what came over me - I published a post without anything but photos. Ellen came over today to go to a quilt store that is a favorite of hers and on the way there, we stopped at a park in Pennington that I spotted while at the demonstration gardens. It was fun, but very hot. I suspect it would be a good little park for the fall ... but the kids still had fun.

I took the top photo early Wednesday morning, as I went over and scoped out the park on an early morning walk. It was much cooler then and I guess I didn't realize how the park's playgrounds were in the sun.

Regarding the Monmouth Battle ... parking is plentiful, but odd, because you have to go over bumpy ground, not suitable for small, low to the ground cars. Fortunately, my daughter's car is anything but that, so we were fine. The vendors were interesting, there was water available on site, and I'm sure food, but we didn't stay to eat. The crowds weren't more than I'd expect - that is to say, there were lots of people there, but it was manegable. However, since we left early, we missed the crowd leaving at the end. This Fourth of July and the two days following, Princeton Battlefield is hosting some events - I'll definitely go up there, as it is just up the road.
