More hope for the future - you'll see we have a wee tomato. I'm very excited, but I'll bet (with six tomato plants) the novelty will wear off in a couple of months. However, I'm prepared to can tomatoes, tomato sauce and salsa. We've been eating lettuce and spinach, fresh basil, and little bitty strawberries from the garden for a couple of weeks. And, there's a bloom on the cucumber plant, and blooms and such on the hot peppers. The weather has been absolutely delightful - about 60 degrees in the morning, 80 during the day. Even the hot and humid weather of a couple of weeks ago was OK with me. I grill out pretty much every evening - hamburgers, steaks, potatoes, asparagus, chicken, sausages, shrimp. In Baltimore, I even made pork loin and whole roasted chicken, and I'll do it again here. I really enjoy cooking outside, as you can tell. I think tomorrow, I'll go to the local demonstration garden for a lecture on deadheading flowers, but really for the chance to meet other gardeners. Enjoying it!
