It was such a wonderful fall day today - no wind - I started off with shots around the farm, illustrating "fall." But then, I found a rose still blooming, which was pretty interesting. The echanacia, bottom photo, was a gonner a long time ago, but it still holds some beauty. I'm still getting lettuce out of the garden, although everything else is gone; and I planted bulbs today - tulips and daffodils, which I hope can come close to their billing as these delightful large flowers. I'm also forcing paperwhites inside, and neither The Man, nor the Boy have mentioned the bulbs on the table in the living room. I wonder if they'll notice them when they start to bloom?

You'll be proud to know that I actually got some bulbs in the ground this year too! Hopefully I'll have some nice tulips come up around my stone post.
