Great day today of "grandma" girl stuff. Ellen came over and we went to the Trenton Farmer's Market - a wonderful place! and bought basil, berries and peaches. The peaches aren't quite ripe, so Ellen's going to come over next Saturday for a peach canning day; in the meantime, we made salsa using some of the tomatoes from my garden and a couple from the farmer's market, but fresh peppers and jalapinos from my garden; and used the basil for fresh pesto, one of my favorite treats.

We had a great day - the kids enjoyed the new heavy bag (for boxing or in this case, martial arts) that Paul has in the basement and climbed trees and played on the computer. Marvelous!
