My fun adventures continue. Last night, I went out in search of the perfect sunset shot. I had such a fantastic time, which sounds odd, I suppose, but it was awesome (in the original sense of standing in awe of God) to watch the clouds change as the sunlight changed. The Man's reaction of "its just a sunset" reminded me of living in Fairplay, in the middle of these spectacular mountains, and the locals just didn't appreciate it. Their saying was "You can't eat the scenery," and while I get it, it's also just a little sad that someone could live in the middle of such awesome country and not "see" it.
This morning, I got up, although not early enough, and went over to the pasture to see what I could find. I'll have to go back again, really early. Didn't see the flycatcher I wanted to see, but was a bit surprised to find a beaver in one of the ponds. Sometimes there are beaver in the creek on the farm, I've been told.
