Wild Oats?

After having been here about a month, I'm having trouble recalling exactly how miserable I was in my previous job, then I hear something from someone, and I take a deep breath, and SMILE!

Today's smile is courtesy of a trip up the creek with Paul while he sprayed for noxious weeds, and I pointed out the ones he missed :) and took photos. You probably see a theme with the photos, but I really enjoy what light does to plants and scenery. I'm working on a series of various animal tracks, also - so far, turkey and raccoon - and some sort of little mouse-like creature. I don't know for sure if the top photo is wild oats or not, I think the grain-looking stuff in the background is wild oats or what they call cheatgrass, but I'm not sure. The stuff in the front may be green foxtail, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. I just like the whole notion of "sowing wild oats." :)
