Another potpourri

Here's another clean-up posting. First, the school Paul goes to, Rock Creek Junoir/Senior High, (which, by the way, has acheived national recognition) is a consolidated school made up of three schools - Flush, Westmorland and St. George. Mike AKA "The Man" played baskeball for Flush and also K-State, and when the Rock Creek's coaches were looking at a way of honoring the various sports acheivements of all the schools, they put out a call for sports memoribilia. Mike's brother gave them some family stuff, including Mike's letter from his jacket and the year he graduated, and his photo. He is quite embarassed by it, but it now hangs in the sports area, as witnessed by the above photo. I think it is pretty cool. Love the suit and tie - I think he has one now, but for funerals only :)

The second set of photos are from a walk Paul and I took around 3 weeks ago - the photos were on the little camera I don't use as much - but it is a nice wooded area just east of Manhattan, where you can walk along the Blue River and end up at the confluence with the Kansas River. (I hope I have this right.) This is for the folks out there who don't think Kansas has any trees ...

I keep telling myself only a week and a half to go in this semester - a 32-page Wyoming Catholic Register to produce, comprehensive exam to study for, papers to write... did I mention a freelance article this weekend???

I'd better get to it.
