Gingerbread houses finished

And gingerbread houses being made

Hannah making brownies with Ellen

Poor Hannah broke her toe!

More New Jersey

Ellen loaned me her car today, and I drove over to Trenton to have lunch with a friend, and visit with some of the folks in the diocese. It was great to see them, although I was sad to miss Mary. Who knew she would be gone today - she's almost never gone. In any event, Lois Rogers is doing a blog for the Monitor. It is at http://keepingthefeast.wordpress.com/ The blog is a lovely mix of faith and food. It's worth checking out. Lois is a talented journalist and great cook!

Ellen helped the kids make gingerbread houses today; an awful lot of work, it seems, but of course I only took photos.

Last night, Ellen and I went to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie. I liked it, but I wouldn't take a kid under age 13 to see it.
